Manufacturer: The manufacturer of the Fluval Edge Aquarium is Hagen, located in Montreal, Canada.

Fluval Edge History:

Founding: The Hagen group of companies was founded by Mr. Rolf C. Hagen in 1955 as a one man operation in Montreal. With careful and effective management decisions and the help of his two brothers Dieter and Horst, Mr. Hagen has nurtured the family of companies into the largest and most effective privately run pet manufacturer and distributor in the world. With more than forty years of experience offering quality service, it now directly employs thousands worldwide.  The Fluval Edge was introduced in the first half of 2009 as an all in one aquarium kit and the first ever 3D water cube aquarium.

Purpose: Hagen was the first to recognize the revolutionary improvement of eliminating motor parts as thus was the first to introduce the magnetic impeller motor with its AquaClear external Power Filter, changing and improving forever the way water is purified in the aquatic hobby. Everyone with a successful filter has had to follow in the wake of this innovation.

Evolution: The philosophy from the very beginning to the present has been simply to provide the best possible products at a reasonable price to the retail pet trade. The corporate belief has always been to exclusively offer the Hagen brand name to those retailers who maintain and sell the pets that everyone cherishes. Appreciation of modern research techniques and results provides just one more advantage in reaching this goal.

having purchased the edge last year, I have had several dissapointments with its function: I have emailed hagen about this to no avail and I have returned to the store several times to which I am passed from pillar to post. PA arts of the machinery broke down within months and no replacement has been easily found.I find the whole thimg costly and a waste of time.

Sirs, I have a Fluval Edge aquarium and have a problem with the integrated lighting system. The light bulb housing is showing signs of burning around the bulbs due the heat from the bulbs and the both have since have blown. I would like to replace the whole lighting system and as I live in Ireland I would like to inquire as where I could purchase the housing & tilting arm that mounts to the filter housing? Is there an alternative to the current lighting system to reduce the heat from the lighting? Regards, Alan Timms
