“This is a great little fish tank. I got my Edge as a birthday present about 2 months ago and have not had a single problem. I have 4 Tiger Bards, one Pleco, and one Leaf fish living in my tank. They all seam happy in there little home. This is the first tank I have ever used live plants in, they look great and are doing just fine . The guy at the pet store was telling me the lights in the tank would not be strong enough to keep live plants , it was great to be able to tell him he was wrong. I could not be happier with this aquarium and i strongly suggest anyone wanting a small fish tank to take a close look at the Fluval Edge.”

“My Edge has been set up for a little over a month, Went with one of the recommended fish from Fluval Blog, The tank is incredible, The Brevis are the coolest fish I have had in a long time, great tank great buzz, surrounding the tank. Their Facebook site in a lot of fun.. Thanks Fluval”

“Bought my fluval edge two months ago. Initially the filter really annoyed me because its motor was so noisy. However, over time the noise subsided considerably. When I clean the tank and filter, and then prime the filter to get it going again, the noise returns for a short time. I have found, and I have no idea why this is, that if I unplug the filter for a few seconds then plug it back in again, the noise goes away.  I am very happy with this little tank.”

“I bought this tank when visiting the store because of its looks. It is an elegant tank and will add beautiful decor to any room. Easy to set up, and very quiet.”

“The design is perfect, I love the way it looks. My only complaint, is that I wish they made a 10 gallon version. Reviewers have mentioned that cleaning is difficult, but I don’t find that a problem (buy a small mag float – helps in between water changes). Upgrading the light bulbs is necessary, I replaced them with LED bulbs (found online) and that made a huge difference in appearance (my plants were happier, too).   The edge has some optional accessories, some I like/some I don’t. I wasn’t satisfied with the Fluval Edge heater, never kept a steady temp. However, I really like the bamboo wall accessory.”

“I picked up the Edge at the Fountain Valley facility which was w/o any problem. The sale person on the phone was very nice and helpful too. The tank is great. I am a newbie and only had one other tank with Goldfishes before. The setup was ok, the pump needs minor assembly. The look is great, the filter is good, but started to make a little bit of noise after 3 days. I now have the tank since 6 days and have 4 fishes in there incl. 1 small Angel and 1 Rainbow and they are fine as of now. All together very happy with the purchase. 4 stars only because of the minor pump noise!
Yes, I would recommend this product to my friends.”

“Aesthetics are important. I dislike traditional aquariums and wanted a product that concealed the pump, heater, cords, etc. I chose the Edge over the BioOrb because it’s made from real glass, doesn’t obligate me to use cheesy synthetic plants, and is well designed. I love the appearance of the product, but there are a few functional flaws you need to be aware of if you decide to purchase. First, its two halogen lights are insufficient. They effectively light up the center of the aquarium, but the edges go dark. This limits the ability to use aquatic plants that traditionally don’t require CO2. The Edge does not come with a heater, however, the power cord can easily be run through the same conduit that conceals the pump. Do not purchase African Frogs as there is no air at the top (which is also one of it’s better qualities). The box also says the aquarium is ideal for goldfish, but nothing could be further from the truth. Goldfish require large aquariums and produce a considerable amount of waste. They also grow quite quickly. It’s difficult to clean the Edge, so go the low maintenance route. I added a heater, a few low-light aquatic plants, and some neons. No issues. The pump is more than adequate for the size of the aquarium. In fact, you may need to adjust the power to 50% as it’s a little strong for fish. I highly recommend this product if you don’t a mind a little maintenance and a limited ability to grow plants.”

“I LOVE THIS AQUARIUM!!!! The only gripe I have is the lid should be hinged so when I feed my fish, I don’t have to find somewhere to put it.”

“Our Fluval Edge is a 6-gallon, and yes, it looks absolutely wonderful. We have sand in ours and so long as you are very careful to not stir it up too much, your filter should be fine. The access portal is a little inconvenient (a couple of the decorations we wanted to put in wouldn’t fit through), but it’s a small aquarium so maintenance hasn’t been too difficult.”

“I received this Aquarium as a gift and love it!!!!! The contemporary design fits very well with my retro modern decor…….one draw back I have found is they need to make a cover to go over the main opening on the inside….. it being open as it is I have had one fish jump out and I found him in the back compartment where the filter hangs…..the opening on the top does take some time to get used to accessing the inside the aquarium as well but not a real drawback…… I used the bamboo wall piece they make as a decoration for this unit and it real adds to the overall look to the aquarium..I also like how it hides the power filter intake tube and heater further enhancing the over all look of the aquarium as well ..I could see how the smaller opening could limit some decorations but with the wall and a few plants it looks great….. “

“Love this tank, i have mine as marine with a few small fish and they are doing great, hope they make this in a bigger size as the design is lovely”

Love the look of my edge tank. But the fluval edge heater for it is total crap. Only had it for 3 months the first heater boiled the water to 34 degrees which resulted in me loosing fish. Got the heater replaced with new one and now this one wont heat the water, temp only 19 degrees and the heater is on. My father had the exact same issue with his edge heater. Also the shop where we got them from had a fluval chi tank set up using a edge heater and guess what the water temperature was below 20 degrees. Going for a different make of heater the fluval edge one has serious issues. Talk about a bad batch !!!
