Some fish are really expensive, and after you’ve had a fish for a while its easy to get attached to them and if they get a bacterial infection it can be devastating, especially if you have children. There are lots of different medications on the market for treating fish illnesses and this post discusses some of the Fish Antibiotics made for aquarium and fish use, specifically Fish Mox, Fish Flex, Fish Zole, & Fish Pen.
Fish Mox -
Fish Mox is Amoxicillin and is sold in two strengths, 250 mg, which is called fish mox, and 500 mg which is called Fish Mox Forte. Fish Mox is used to treat common bacterial infections in aquariums and for other fish illnesses. It can be bought through multiple pet retailers online and is much cheaper than going to a vet for a prescription of the same strength amoxicillin…I’m not sure I’ve ever even heard of someone going to the vet for a pet fish.
I thought today I would share my Fluval Edge Setup, I’ll try taking some pictures of it in the future and throwing them in a post.
I have the Burnt Orange Fluval Edge Aquarium with 3 panda cory’s, one small pleco, and a shrimp. Right now I have some large Feng Shui Pebbles on the bottom, with a bunch of silk plants scattered throughout the tank. In the next week or two I am planning on getting some sand and one of the fluval edge bamboo wall ornament decorations.
Since I have cory’s I dropped the water level about half an inch below the top of the aquarium, which I don’t like since condensation builds up on the top of the glass and you can’t see through the top, but if I keep the water level high the cory’s can’t get air when they try and swim to the surface. I’ll probably transfer my cory’s to another tank in a couple weeks and put some different fish in my Fluval Edge.

This is our first post on Fluval Edge Reviews and we are excited it is. Since setting up my fluval edge aquarium I have had a lot of fun with my Fluval Edge tank and want to share my experience and help others as they begin to set up their tanks and use the Fluval Edge.
I look forward to hearing everyone else’s experience and comments about the Fluval Edge Aquarium, hopefully we can get a lot of comments and then people can answer other’s questions too.
